Who was super cute today?

(Hint:  it was me.)

WIP.  I felt like doodling something, then decided to practice backgrounds.  And what the heck, let’s throw my otp in there sprawled in really awkward to draw poses.

I may have made a mistake.

Is it weird to keep going back to a piece of art you did just to admire one very specific detail like “DANG look at that cloud, that is a nice cloud”.

Just finished my West Wing rewatch.  Never over my feelings for CJ Cregg.

tigress-anachronism asked: oh man your art is fantastic. What brushes do you use?

Thank you!

I love brushes with a lot of texture and feathering to them, so lately I’ve been in love with these two brushes in SAI:

Don’t remember if I got those settings from somebody else or if it was just from fucking around.  I change the size, min size, and density up as needed.  Love the inker especially because of how good it looks for really thin linework (and if you start working huge you can get it SUPER tiny) and detailwork.  Also can be blown up and used for heavier coloring.  The marker doesn’t blend as well between two different colors, so a lot of times I just make a new layer, feather in the new color on top, and merge down.  (I’m a sucker for a ton of layers.  When in doubt:  NEW LAYER.  I think each character I do in a drawing typically has 3-4 sketch layers, a final inks layer, a skin tone layer, hair layer, clothing layer, and fine detail layer AT MINIMUM.)

ETA:  Now with the actual settings for the inking brush displayed, whoops.

I am a little embarrassed to admit how many pages of my sketchbook I’ve filled with Spider-Man in the past two days.

(I have always been a sucker for the webbed armpits).

If this isn’t how Tavros comes back from the dead then what was even the point of it all.
